what's going on with the whole L.A. Galaxy thing? how long is his contract for? where's he staying? does anyone else think its odd to have beckham in L.A., but at the same time really sweet?! i always pictured him playing for real madrid, not some team in America.

Becks will play for the L.A.Galaxy team for 5 years ($50 million), and there has been some reports that Becks wife Victoria flew in to L.A. sometime last week to shop around Beverly Hills for a house. Also, to look for schools for their children. Rumor has it that Becks and Vicky are going to try for a 4th or 5th child here in the states! The reason for Becks leaving Real Madrid for Galaxy is that he wanted to bring the love of soccer along with him. He wants to open the eyes of Americans and make them love the game of football as they say. We americans are not that big with soccer the europeans, and he hopes that his coming here will make soccer a serious game for americans just like football, tennis, and other suhc big sports. To tell you the truth, it was a little bittersweet that he's coming here. Bitter, because he's leaving R.M. and Iker Casillas, so no more Becksillas. Sweet, because I'm planning on going to the '07 season which is about 4 hours south of where I live! Hooray!

L.A galaxy paid him $250m for 5 yrs ($50 a yr) and cappelo real madrid coach dos not wont him playing in his team he3 can train with them but not play thats a bit tight do u argge? and beckaham might move sooner to L.A gaxaly.

well i think that beckham was a real football player when he was in man united but after the fame and marrying one of the spices he became all Hollywood on the game so he made brand name out of himself and i think it is a smart move from his side as he will be near Hollywood and will make more movies and commercials.
