where can i download paintshop, photoshop, brushes, animation and etc?

i want to make layouts for my myspace but i heard that you need some sort of paintshop or whatever to do it. please let me know where i can download them [not the trial ones] and how to work it. thank you.

The Gimp is very robust and free.
Do a search for "Gimp tutorial" after you've downloaded.

The Gimp is a powerful Photoshop like program.
You can find others as well, check the second link. Be warned though- they aren't exactly easy to learn, but are worth it if you do... Take a tutorial.
