u hold down the shift key and press the print screen key than just open a blank word document and paste in it...

All the above answers will work with no problems.
I personally use a program called MWSnap. It is for Windows operating system. I really like this program, and I've been using this free program for a number of years now with no problems.
For such a small program, it has everything you would want and more in a free screen capture program. Best of all, it is freeware!

If you happen to be using a Mac its Apple Command + Shift + 3. A picture file will be placed on the desktop of the image that was captured.

First thing you have to get a software called irfanView (which is free software with very low size approx 978kb for download click on the link

)when you installed , open it and go to options >screencapture
then you will get options like image format,where to save image etc.
press start
now the program get minimized and then press hot key(which is given in the previous window
your screen captured is saved to the folder you specified

I think there are a couple different ways to do the screen capture, depending on if it says prt sc (print screen) at the top or bottom of the insert button. the insert button is located usually at the top and to the right of the F1-F12 buttons. you can either press shift and then the insert, prt sc button, or press FN, the function key and then press insert, prt sc button, holding them down at same time. then like mentioned above to print it or send it to someone as a document, which is right click, copy. and the paste it in a word document
