Looking to put together a perfect Sydney day which showcases all our wonderful city has to offer in order to show what a diverse, vibrant and exciting city it is encompassing good food, entertainment and some tourist activities for a mid-20s couple with a good appreciation of food and wine that don't want to spend a small fortune every meal. I have a few ideas but interested to get some input perhaps on some things I hadn't though of....

E.g. Morning backstage tour of the Opera House, Lunch at The Australian Hotel, Afteroon at Luna Park, Dinner cruise, performance at opera house/night at the Observatory, cocktails at Shangri-La......?

Morning: Breakfast at Bills and some sun tanning at Bondi Beach
Noon: Lunch at The Rocks, Sight-seeing at Opera House, as well as climb the famous bridge
Dinner: catch a performance at Opera House, or go clubbing at Kings Cross or Cockle Bay

Hope this helps, cheers

I would definitely recommend a meal at Palm Beach with a visit to the Pittwater. Even if just buying fish & chips to eat on the beach.
Unless they are from a really small town & never been to a big city, I'd say skip luna park...it's pretty dull in my opinion...

Stop at the fish market, get fresh prawns, oysters, sashimi and sushi and drive to the botanic garden for a picnic by the water.

We like to grab a big mac, head to the airport and fly to the States. That would be our perfect day! Cheers.
