I developed breasts in 3rd grade and I got my period at 12 also. I felt alone as well. You are not developing to fast or to slow. It happens to people at different ages. My Mom developed breasts when she was 11 and got her period at 16. My best friend developed at age 10 and got her period at 11.

But those are the REAL answers - everyone develops at a different rate.
I got my period when I was 12 but a friend of mine got hers when she was 9 and another friend got hers when she was 15 so it's different for everyone. Have you talked to your friends about this? How do you know you are the only one who has her period? If you can, try talking to your mother or another older female you feel close to - trust me they will be able to share your pains. Most women remember what it was like to get their period and to develop boobs - it's not usually an easy time. Ask them questions and you'll find out soon enough that you are not alone and every female goes through these changes at one time or another. By next year at school there will be less of a difference between you and the other girls. Age 12 is the average age to get your period so you can take comfort in that - you're neither to fast nor too slow...you're right on schedule!!

I started when I was 12 and I have a friend who started at 16. The common age is around 12 but these days some girls are starting earlier so I would say you're lucky.

I know how you feel. I had boobs showing and my period at 12. Some girls have their period at age 10. You're not alone. Just remember, this is natural. There isn't anything to be ashamed of. It's as natural as going to the bathroom. Every girl is going to experience it. Pretty soon all the girls are going to want boobs like you. Smile cuz you got 'em girl!

You're going through a normal process. Only thing though, you were earlier than the others. I had heard of some in their 9th year. Don't be feeling alone. Just remember everyone is different from one another. Eventually they'll gonna have their time and when that happened you're their to give them advice. Isn't that cool? For now your mom is your best friend for she understood this thing better than anyone else. And because that you're having yours and the others is not don't isolate yourself, you're still their classmates and friend no matter what.

coming from the opposite standpoint, i never developed anything until i was 18, going on 19, and i soon am going to be twenty. thats what everyone always told me, that i was a late bloomer and that whatever happens happens at the right time yadda yadda.
the way i look at it is you have looks, brains, and a body, go out there and flaunt it. just don't go overboard with it. all the other girls in your class ar probably jealous of you and will ask you questions when they start developing themselves. you know what they sy, the early bird catches the worm!
go get em!

I started at 12 and that is actually the most usually age to start. However, my grandma started at 10, my mom at 16, my niece at 9, and my sister at 14. So it does vary.

have u talked with your mom or a sister? are u sure the other girls haven't started yet? the real answer is u have your own clock. if u can't talk with a family member then think about calling your local health dept. and talk with a nurse. this is a confusing time in your life and it's good to find someone caring to answer your questions. don't give up

Age twelve is a normal time for all of this to happen to you. It won't be long before they will start doing it too and you will be the one they can come to for comfort because you have "been there, done that". Hold your head high and be thankful you are normal and healthy.
