I think you mean a system RECOVERY. A restore just restores your pc to the way it was yesterday, a couple of days ago, or last week, etc. A system RECOVERY restores your pc to way it was when shipped from the manufacturer. If that is the case:

PLEASE NOTE:!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you do a "System Recovery," you will want to save ANY & ALL IMPORTANT FILES and programs. It WILL DELETE EVERYTHING you've added to your pc since installing it.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1. Click on "Start."
2. Place mouse over "All Programs."
3. Find and click on "System Recovery." You may have to look. It may be in a secon with info about your pc. I've arranged my Start Menu, and I have "System Recovery" in a section called "PC Help and Tools."
4. Folow directions from there.

If unable to find it that way, you can do it just as soon as you turn on your pc. As soon as your pc turns on it will show you some function key commands. Press and hold that function key. On my computer, I beleive it is "F10."

1. Log on to Windows as Administrator.
2. Click Start, point to All Programs, point to Accessories, point to System Tools, and then click System Restore. System Restore starts.
3. On the Welcome to System Restore page, click Restore my computer to an earlier time (if it is not already selected), and then click Next.
4. On the Select a Restore Point page, click the first system checkpoint in the On this list, click a restore point list, and then click Next. A System Restore message may appear that lists configuration changes that System Restore will make. Click OK.
5. On the Confirm Restore Point Selection page, click Next. System Restore restores the previous Windows XP configuration, and then restarts the computer.
6. Log on to the computer as Administrator. The System Restore Restoration Complete page appears.
7. Click OK.

If you have the Original Restore Disks, Boot from the original disk and format. Then use the original Restore to re-install Windows. After Windows is completely installed, re-install all the Hardware drivers and any Software that was on the disk originally. If you have any questions contact me at cio@transatlanticcreations.com

Do you have the disks? If so put them in your drive shut down your computer and boot it back up, select Format.

If not press f8 (Should tell you when you boot up for the recovery menu) when booting up, should bring you to the recovery menu. Go into advance options and select Destructive Recovery.
