"If you love something set it free, if it comes back, it was yours to keep, if it doesn't, it wasn't yours to begin with"

I don't agree with this myself. I think it's Bullshit. If you think like this and he/she thinks like this than how can anyone ever come back? It doesn't makes sense. One has to make the move for anything to happen at all. I think you have to push your (fate, if you believe in that at all) to get what you want, you have to MAKE opportunities, if they don't come by you..etc etc.

So, what do YOU think?

odd_person: That is is funny line about a bird!..Hahaha..

Anyway, you know what? I agree with you Jamaica...but it seems very male in thinking. For me because i am a man i agree with your logic and conclusion but for women i am not sure they would agree. Women are very emotional and eternal love is sometihng beyond logic for them and so that famous line actually makes sense to them. I think in a perfect world that line would be eternal but in reality if you dont chase after what you want them you "might" fail. I think most women want to be persued and so this famous line is mostly for women than for men because men are suppose to look by this line and chase after her while she waits to be persued. Its the whole Princess in a castle waiting for her brave knight to return from slaying the dragon.

I am hoping it's right. I keep crossing paths with a crush I have had for years. We see each other then one person moves or something. Lose touch. Then cross paths again. I am hoping that the time is right one of these times. If it is meant to be.

I guess I look at it more in a symbolic sense. Not literal. If you love something dont keep it locked away or smother it. If its a person (child or lover) give them the room to breathe and explore who they are and to grow instead of keeping them "safe" from the very things that mold who they are.

No way if you love something protect it nurture it and love it. I would not set my baby free, he would probably get run over by a car and wouldn't come back.

I agree 100%. You make your own opportunities, or lack of by your own actions! I wish people would stop waiting for people to give them what they & go after it themselves. { As long as it's legal & moral}
