Rep. Eugene Atkinson of Penn. switched from D to R in 1981.
Rep. Bob Stump of Ariz. switched in 1982.
Rep. Phil Gramm of Texas switched in 1983.
Rep. Andy Ireland of Flor. switched in 1984.
Rep. Bill Grant of Flor. switched in 1989.
Rep. Tommy Robinson of Ark. switched in 1990.
Sen. Richard Shelby of Alab. switched in 1994.
Sen. Ben N. Campbell of Colo., Rep. Nathan Deal of Geor., Rep. Billy Tauzin of Louis., Rep. Mike Parker of Miss., and Rep. Greg Laughlin of Texas all switched in 1995.
Rep. Virgil Good of Virg. switched kinda gradually over a few years. First he switched from D to Ind. and then a few years later, from Ind. to R.
Rep. Ralph Hall of Texas switched in 2004.

Nope.. But I switched to the republican party after being a dem for my entire life cause I finally got rich and realize that the republicans will tax me less...

In college I was a believe-any-stupid-thing-they-say republican. Then I grew up, realized republicans really represented Big Business and Big Money and I moved on. They have gotten more corrupt every year that they have had power.

Well, I was a registered Democrat until Clinton's first term. I even voted for him - once. I changed parties out of repugnance. Then I considered myself Republican and am still registered Republican. Since this last year I consider myself populist, however.

Michael Bloomberg mayor of New York. He is actually a really good mayor. Doesn't care about the stupid republican anti-gay philosophy.
