People are uncomfortable with the idea of two people of the same sex living a normal married life, sometimes with children. If a couple of men we're married they would no longer be paying the same amount of taxes. Seeing as how single people pay more taxes the government would lose money. That's my theory.

Well, I'm for gay marriage only because I do not believe that the government has the right to define who has the right to be married- if you look up the word marriage in the dictionary- it states that it is the union between two people--- it does not state man/woman. Now for your project, besides the bible, "they" feel that a union between gays would disintegrate the family values that our great country has been based upon. It would confuse children having two moms and two dads. Even though there is something like a 70% ratio of women raising children without fathers, our great leaders still feel that gay marriage will be the ultimate demise of our family values--- children would be brought up without the male/or female nurturing. Financially, the government has a lot to lose since singles pay more in income taxes than married couples, and the insurance lobbyists would be furious if it is allowed since their losses would be in the billions since their "partners" would be entitled to health insurance under the law as a spouse. With the HIV/AID medications being on the forefront of the most expensive expenditures by insurance companies seconded by cancer, allowing them to be covered by a working healthy mate would make the insurance agencies cringe.

In a Pagan standpoint, gay Marriage isn't efficient for a society. the main reason is that it does not produce a destiny technology. A destiny technology is significant to maintain a rustic besides because of the fact something of the rustic. notwithstanding that's in all probability extra because of the fact of abortion, gay Marriage might additionally harm Social protection. additionally, one argument is that Gays won't be in a position to get the specific tax breaks that heterosexual couples get while they're married. notwithstanding if, the reason heterosexual marriages receieve those tax breaks is because of the fact they produce a destiny technology. A destiny technology which would be destiny taxpayers, and extra significant, destiny purchasers.

The main reason I am against it is because I do not want my kids to think it is "normal". I consider gays to be aberrants. That doesn't mean I hate them or think they are somehow at fault for their condition. It's the way they were made. But the thing is, their "lifestyle" is out of the norm. As such I do not want to see it normalized by sanctioning it through marraige. They should have legal protections and financial benefits, the same as married people do, but it should not be called marraige. I don't want my kids thinking that gay is normal because in my view it isn't.

The economy might experience effects because married couples get a tax relief and deductions for children, etc. Loss of revenue for the govt. Plus, it is causing enough division within our own country and we all know that a country divided against itself cannot stand. It will divide the country into two and who knows, there may be another civil war. Now how does that help a country.

I'm sorry but I can't help you here because I'm not against it. Too each their own. Everyone should have the same rights and freedoms. If two people love each other and want to dedicate their lives to each other, I'm all for their civil union (I don't believe its actually called marriage).

Every ones entitled to their opinion though... so please understand, I'm not dissing yours.

I am not totally against it but I am somewhat only because I think gay marriages will get out of hand. If they are willing to have a nice ceremony then they should be able to get married but if they start doing some crazy things like they do in gay parades then I will be against that.

It's unnatural. Put all religious and social beliefs aside, and put it in purely biological terms. Homosexuality is anomolous and serves no biological benefit, and goes against natural genetically programmed instincts.

That's like asking "Besides killing, why are people pro-abortion". The fact is, it is wrong to begin with, it's a sin. We wouldn't have all these problems facing us if we just lived by the Bible.
