Things would be wrapping up in Iraq instead of a new "surge" heading out.

Good question. Even Kerry wanted to wage a strong fight against terrorism. I wonder if he would have keep our troops stuck in Iraq for another 4 years. If you want to fight terrorism, you have to take the fight to them. I wonder if he would have done that. I would like to think that he would have intensified the search for Bin Laden and would have scaled back troop strength in Iraq. I would like to think that after 4 years of training, the IA would be able to fight for itself.

besides the iraq problem not happening, not much would be different. bush and kerry are pretty much the same, flip flop on issues depending on what they are dealing with.

Our troops would all be under arrest for violating Kerry's sensibilities, Terrorists would have completely taken over Iraq & would be gaining power in Kuwait for starters.

Could we be worse off? So my answer would be at least the same, but probably better.

Kerry would have heroically retreated from Iraq and we would probably have had another 9-11-type attack.

We would have an honest intelligent president and we would be out of Iraq. Osama might have been the one hanged instead of Saddam.
