My computer is making weird sounds too. I do not know how this happened but it happened after my 5 year old son got off of the computer after playing a abc game.

Sticky keys is a windows feature that is accessed by hitting the shift key 5 times. You should be able to disable it by hitting the shift key 5 times and following whatever the box that pops up says.

StickyKeys are scary if you don't know about them. That's what sent me to Yahoo Ask.

It is a function built in to assist handicapped people who need time to go keystoke to keystroke without causing the key to repeat endlessly. I accidentally activated it when I held the Shift key down a tad too long and incorrectly answered a dialog box.

If this is your problem, it is easily fixed. Go to the Control Panel and open "Accessibility." If there is a checkmark in the box preceding "use stickkeys," click it to remove the checkmark. That's it.

About the noises - can't help, but give the little guy a hug. You have no idea how fast they grow up.

Sticky Keys allows you to press a key, such as Ctrl or Alt, and it will remain pressed until you press another key. It's meant for people who have dificulty pressing two or more keys at the same time.
To turn it on or off press the Shift key five time in a row. A window will pop up that will allow you to disable it. Sounds like your son must have press the Shift key too many times.
