has anyone really had a fan in their laptop die on them? my presario r3360 has a rear fan that runs constantly BY DESIGN (this is normal). i'm curious to whether failing fans are a common thing. do they tend to burn out? this is a 2" fan. thanks!
BTW, i blow the dust out and off of the fans twice a week.

I have never had a laptop fan die, am on my fourth laptop ... one lasted 8 years and one lasted 5 years, neither of those was a problem with the fan. Another one is 7 years old and still going. Current laptop is less than a year. I use one of those exterior fan stands with it, but never did with the others.
My laptops get a LOT of use, as that is all I use.
