iam trying to uninstall my Norton older version but it gets restarted...

Download and run the Norton Removal Tool from the Norton / Symantic website.

Try Spybot Search&Destroy. Also strengthen your firewall and get somebody who really knows what they're doing in there. If you have LimeWire, it's the root of all evil and may be the source of your troubles. AVG makes a wonderful computer protection program. Whatever you have can't be good enough.

Did you try any free programs like spybot Search and Destroy, once you know the name of the virus- you can find manual removal steps off the internet using the system registry

2 options:
Option 1: try running in safe mode, then unistall your norton
Option 2: scan your hard drive from another pc
