I've brought it inside, but most of the stalks are wilted.. poor thing. Is there any first aid/resusitation that I can do to save it?

Do I need to prune it/cut off the seemingly lifeless stalks?

yeah impatients are very resiliant but dont make them try to recover the dead stuff, prune all the badly damaged stalks or stems, if any flowers are left take them off evern if the stalk is not damaged, dont make them use energy to make seeds, remove the flowers soon after they bloom so the plant wont try & seed.

Impatiens are annuals, not perennials. Meaning, that live through one season and then usually die off, never to return. Perennials on the other hand will come back every year.

Once an annual is exposed to frost, it will not come back. There is nothing that you can do for it. Luckily impatiens are plentiful at any nursery and cost about $2! You will need to buy a new plant in the spring, after all danger of frost has passed.

You didn't mention where you live. But there are also 'zones' that determine what kind of plants will grow in your area. You might want to research this! Good luck :)

Sorry. If your impatiens has met up with frost then nothing will save it. Bury it with love and buy a new one next year.

prune damaged stems. If there are any stems that weren't damaged, prune them and put in water to root. May be too late for your plant if it was a hard frost.

Water it with warm water and if it fails to respond then unfortunately it won't recover.

They like lots of water in the summer.
