Why not any other color? The static sparks on my bedclothes.

The only explanation I can think of (assuming you're not colour blind) is that for a time before you witness this phenomenon you have been in a room illuminated by tungsten light. After a short period of time, this tungsten light appears white, although, compared with sunlight, it's low in blues and greens, but your brain 'irons out' this change of colour balance. After such exposure, a white light (like sunlight) will appear greenish-blue.

Well either you have color blindness or you have green or yellowed clothing. Static sparks are usually white or bluish. Remember yellow & Blue make green

put a unopened, cold tacobell hot sauce foil packet into your microwave, i guarantee blue sparks and a messed up microwave!
