I can not open any files on my desktop, can not go into start menu to go into control panel, or documents, or even do a search. The windows close and a warning window pops up and says Data execution prevention-microsoft windows. to help protect your computer, windows has closed this program. Also says that it helps protect against damage from viruses and other security threats. Have run a virus scan and it did not find anything. What can the problem be?

If you can, try running a restore point on your computer to restore your computer back to a time when the computer was working properly.
