Since the introduction of Lewis Carrol's fantastastic journey of a girl through Wonderland, many have noticed some startling images and concepts hidden beneath the surface.

You might want to tie in the movie Shrek as a modern example depending on your reader. The part about being caught in the rain is a reference few children would laugh about. Good luck!

One pill makes you larger
And one pill makes you small
And the ones that mother gives you
Don't do anything at all
Go ask Alice
When she's ten feet tall

And if you go chasing rabbits
And you know you're going to fall
Tell 'em a hookah smoking caterpillar
Has given you the call
Call Alice
When she was just small

When men on the chessboard
Get up and tell you where to go
And you've just had some kind of mushroom
And your mind is moving low
Go ask Alice
I think she'll know

When logic and proportion
Have fallen sloppy dead
And the White Knight is talking backwards
And the Red Queen's "off with her head!"
Remember what the dormouse said:
"Feed your head
Feed your head
Feed your head"

;Alice in Wonderland, from its opening scene of a young girl lying in reverie, to the appearance of a white rabbit (emblematic of both fertility and innocence) and the submergence of Alice into the womb-like fecundity of an Underworld full of symbols of sexuality, ambiguity and mythic archetypes ensures that this narrative has transgressive subtexts reaching far beyond a tale for children.

Any good?

Who am I?
What am I?
This is a question that at some point in their life every adult asks.
Yet Alice, a child, in her dreams, not even fully conscious, struggles with this question.
(you have to polish it a little but you get the general idea)

Sometimes, in life, things jumo out at you unespectedly, and you don't exactly know how to stop them; looks can be decieving, and there is more that meets the eye.
