Most of them seem to be coming from countries with low taxes, small govts, unregulated free markets, and little if any social welfare programs.
If my observation is correct, why would this be?

absolutely...and the dream of eventually making it big and having your kids be successfull. Take it from someone who knows. =D
why would this be? well some of our countries arent apt to stand up for ourselves, some of us dont even have a democracy (Cuba). It is the job of terrible law makers, bad jobs, bad weather, and plain old sucky people who dont know how to run a country.

Yep you hit the nail on the head. They need welfare and security. With money in their pockets they are the rockets on the fourth of July to destroy this country and many others. Social reform what a joke. Socialists are doing all of this. They really believe the wall came down in Berlin. But only to put one big net over us all, the new world order is upon us and we must fight back. Watch Casablanca? This is a neutral ground to start that same old mess up again. The liberals like the French and the Nazis like Bush. What a world. Yuk! We don't know these people, We the People and what their motives are? Or who controls them or what controls them and their motives?
They could be coming here to get money go back and live like Kings and Queens, or get money send it home buy weaponry and start a war so we have another problem on this globe. Or they could be here to spread disease? Or take a bomb and blow us up? We may be stupid but not deaf dumb and blind. No more immigrants till we can weed out what we have. Put all of them on planes boats what ever I don't care if they use a blimp, get them out of here and let us sort out our mess and then get rid of these political powers that are promoting this countries demise, and they are the treasonist traitors that call themselves Americans.
