The fact is that most men do remain faithful, and most women do, too. Don't get this "men are cheating pigs" attitude.

In the book "The Day America Told the Truth" - one of the most exhaustive surveys done of American attitudes on many issues", the authors found that on the average 31% of Americans had cheated on their significant other.

Approximately 1 in 4 women cheated and 1 in 3 men did.

Interestingly, the majority of women said they like their lovers more than their husbands where men were the reverse, saying they liked their wife better.

Basically, men cheat for the sex, women for emotional needs.

A 2005 Playboy survey of infidelity found similar results. Men cited the reasons they cheat in order:

1) for the excitement of it
2) variety
3) emotional needs
4) spontaneity

Women on the other hand said they cheated for these reasons, in order:

1) emotional needs
2) reassurance of desirability
3) a desire for companionship
4) the excitement of it.

So you see, neither gender is the saint. And if those emotional and sexual needs were being met within the relationship they wouldn't be looking elsewhere, which means that when someone cheats it is BOTH their faults, not just the cheater's.

Faithful men are a fact. I 'm 34. I've been married almost 6 years and I've remained faithful to my wife and every girlfriend I've ever had.

I'm 53 yo- divorced after 15 years of marriage - and I can honestly say during the 40 years that I have been dating, living with or married to women, I have never cheated on any of them .
The reason I don't is not because of who they are But rather because of who I am.
Take a couple of minutes out of your busy life and listen to the lyrics of I Walk The Line-
Johnny Cash explains it from a male point of view.

I am a woman who is good friends with men. They do confide in me. No, they haven't been faithful to their wives. It's sickening to hear. but, they think of me as one of the guys.

I think a majority of the men, if they have a chance will cheat on their girlfriends/wives. I'm not proud to be in the middle of it but, I am.

It is not the girlfriend/wife fault either, men are just men and think it makes them more macho to do that.

Fourteen years with my wife so far and I have never been with another woman. I know good men who have been married--and I truly believe faithful--for 50+ years.

My husband is one of the few who will always be faithful. We both were cheated on by our first partners and will never do that to someone we love. We have pledged to never cheat on each other. If we are not happy we will divorce before we ever cheat on anyone.

Do you propose is watching porn considered dishonest? No way. some human beings (females in certain) hate it for countless causes. in the journey that your female friend asks you to stop, then negotiate such as her. If she's having an affair with some different person, then that has not something to do with porn. 2 completely distinct issues. If she is making use of your porn to rationalize dishonest, i do not carry a lot desire for the relationship. it really is basically disrespectful.

My first husband left me for another woman. My husband now I believe has never cheated on me for the 8 years we have been together. He comes home on time after work, he is here on the weekends and if he leaves he tells me where he is going. My husband is a very honest man and I really know he has never cheated.
