I have verizon and it's true. I have 500 text messages for $10 a month with unlimited IN network texting.I am reading the manual and it's says,"Unlimited pix, text, and flix messages with any verizon wireless customer." So all u have to worry is if the person you sent it to was 'IN" and if you are under the National Enhanced Services Rate and Coverage Area. It's NOT available with America's Choice Rate though.

Usually if you have IN calling, you also have IN texting if you are paying for a text service. So, if you are paying for 250 messages, then you should have 250 messages to send to non-verizon phone numbers and unlimited to verizon numbers.

BUT, you shoudl call *611 from your phone and talk to a rep. to make sure.

Depends. If you just have regular service it may cost you to send and then to top it off, you will be CHARGED to recieve an IM. They should have a plan where you can send and recieve unlimited IMs.

How much does it cost to send a TXT Message?
It depends on whether you have a bundled text-messaging plan. If you don’t have a text-messaging plan, it costs $.10 per address for messages sent or received. International text messaging is $.10 for messages received and $.25 for messages sent. If you do have a bundled plan, the cost per message varies.

The following is additional cost to you phone plan for unlimited text messaging

$10/ 500 additional minutes,
$15/1000 " "
$20/2500 " "
The extra minutes are the ones used to send to non-verizon customers.
