I can't speak for other countries laws but in the US pedestians do have the right of way but it is his or her responsibility to use proper crosswalks. Also it is always wise to use some common sense when crossing streets. No matter how right you may be in arguing about you having the right of way getting hit still hurts like hell to get hit by a car. Also the driver can argue you jumped out in front of him if you didn't use proper pedestrian pathways such as coming out between parked cars.

Pedestrians have the right away were "posted". You need to realize that you are not always easily seen, so you do need to be careful. Some driver's do not acknowledge cross walks.

Pedestrians are SUPPOSED to have the right of way. But try telling the drivers of NYC that and see how far you smear on the pavement.

Human pedestrians, yes. Unfortunately, wildlife must have their own invisible traffic signs and step or jump out in front of us all willy-nilly.

Us squirrels are so maligned for simply not understanding what a car is. We can't help it that our brains are smaller than the nuts we hide away.
People should have mercy on us and "break for squirrels" cause squirrels cannot, and will not ever understand that a car kills.

yes you do but ,,,,But cars have bumbers made of steel under that plastic ,,,Steel wins everytime ,, so look both ways wait for light to say walking is ok then run like hell across
