In MS Word, when I remove a letter and type in the new letter, it removes the following letter also. Help?

The Insert key is a toggle -- that is, press to turn on, press to turn off.

With insert on, a new keystroke will be entered to the left of the cursor.

With insert off, a new keystroke will overwrite the character

press "insert" on your keyboard, It should be around the delete and page up/down buttons

u activated overwrite, to activate or deactiveate, push insert
