The only thing it can do is prevent that particular terrorist from escaping and causing more damage. He would absolutely have escaped, especially in a broader civil war. It is only one small part of the solution.

In the short run, Sunnis will be angrier but if necessary they would only find some other excuse to be angry. They are out of power and the people they oppressed are running the show.

Well in my opinion it will do nothing but enrage the Suni's who have hated the shiaites. Saddam was a suni and they were a minority, now that we did a supposed liberation the wound has been opened. Add the Kurds who got the worst this whole war thing in my opnion is thing has been a pandoras box and nothing we will do can stop the hate thats been festering for years. 20,000 more men will not be a answer.

i dont agree with Bush because so many americans are being killed it would have been way easier to bomb Iraq instead
