We cannot conclude this statement without running a carefully thought-out experiment and proper statistics. One match is not enough to say that a gerbil would beat a hamster in a fight. For all we know, it might be a 50-50, since there's only two outcomes: Gerbil wins or Hamster wins. We need to analyze large amounts of data gathered from experiments. There are certain factors that could affect both fighter's performance, maybe the hamster's overweight, or maybe the gerbil has plenty of fighting experince, or maybe the hamster is a female and that would explain why it fights like a sissy... Maybe the hamster fights better when it's cornered, we never know, so we need to conduct more tests and experiments before we could submit our findings to you, the waiting audience. These tests will take a long time and we hope everyone will be patient, and pray our two test subjects do not kill each other off before all the data needed are gathered. And no one calls the SPCA or they both get it! You know what I mean! There are far worse things in this world than death! And that's politicians! Greek (Poly = many + tic = those little blood sucking vermins).

I've held gerbils and hamsters abd trust me, the gerbils had wway sharper claws and im not sure but i think they bite harded.
