Desperate Housewives. Sex in the city is so yesterday. I can't stand looking at Sarah Jessica Parker. According to Peter Griffin on the Family Guy she looks like a foot and I concur.

I really like Desperate housewives but i "Love" Sex and the City. Whoever said sex and the city was "so yesterday" obviously doesn't realize that most of what happened on the show is "so today!"

Sex and the City was the best scripted, envelope pushing, and edgy show on television. They had great story-lines, fashions, actors/actresses, and was cutting edge and trendy. I love all the characters equally and how they portrayed women. Desperate Housewives is okay, but not as good as SATC because it was raw and appealing.

My vote is definitely for Sex and the City. It's hard to compare them because SATC was made for HBO and they could take more risks and be more daring. If Desperate Housewives could have been made for HBO it could have been a totally different show.

I bet you are going to see a divide on this but in the end you will likely see a pool towards Sex in the City simply because Sex in teh City appeals to both men and women while Despeate House Wifes only appeals to Women.
So, surprise (!) my vote is for SEX. And the show was pretty funny in its first 3 seasons...hilarious their topics and to see women talking about them was very different.

Sex & the City, hands down. I loved that show. I bought the entire season set...the one in the pink binder. It's a good investment for people that love those shows. I love, love, love all of Carrie's shoes!
