feed him the inside of a thawed frozen pea.

soak a frozen pea in hot water for about an hour. after it's been soaking for a while peel off the skin. give th insides to your goldfish. this helps clear up constipation. don't feed him the whole day that you give him the pea. you can give him one pea a week as a treat from him plus is helps make sure he doesn't get constipated.

hope that helps!

Make sure you are feeding it enough and the fish likes the food it is eating. Also it may have some sort of parasite where all excess food is being consumed by the parasite. If you are pretty sure the fish is healthy and eating enough, look at the bottom of the tank for the poop. It may sink as soon as the fish finishes and you may not see it very often. If the fish is constipated Im not really sure what can be done for that but hope it gets better.

First, how do you know he's not pooping? You should not really see your fish pooping much, you shouldn't see trails of poop or anything. Do you mean that your fish floats on the top when he's not moving or just swims up there. If he's just swimming around the surface its normal.

If your fish is constipated feed him peas, split the shells.

when you changed the water you probably put him into shock and he pooped so much he's pooped out right now. Don't worry about your goldfish's intestinal functions, they take care of it themselves, no help is needed.

I totally agree with ELAINE C - I would not worry too much, if it goes in, it WILL come out eventually. Might be eating it though. Any other fish in the tank? Mabe they are eating it.
