Tillamook ice cream from the Pacific Northwest is exceptionally creamy and tasty. As a general rule, ice cream made with REAL cream is better than one made with fillers. If you want to know one emulsifier found in many high-quantity ice creams other than REAL cream, look for ones that contain Carreegean( a seaweed by-product). McDonalds' uses it in their shakes to lower the fat content yet keep it creamy.
