Why do i barely hear my microphone volume?

i plugged it in to my computer so i could talk and use my webcam. the webcam is fine, but i can hardly hear the mic volume. i checked the settings and they were fine. plz help

In your volume controls go into advanced options and make sure microphone boost is enabled.

mabye u need an ear check up!
