It all depends on whether you have olive or pink undertones in your skin (or if you're a "winter" or a "summer"). If you're not sure, ask another woman or a make-up consultant at a department store. If you have pink undertones or you're a "winter", go with cool colors, like blues, and pinks. If your skin has olive undertones, go with metallics and browns. But either way, smokey is always a good way to go!

If your undertones are yellow - Dark greens, browns, bronzes, and dark golds....

If your undertones are more pink - Burgundy, maroon, dark purple, etc.

Black and grey eyeshadow - carefully applied, also looks great.

i have seen many dark women using gold shine eyeshadow that looks just beautiful. Try using the creamy kind it looks more natural & lasts all day.

Bronze...shimmery gold
stay away from colors that make u look like a clown like blue green etc...
Stick with colors that compliment your skin tone.

I love going for the bronze look with a gold shadow increasing to a shimmer at the top. AMAZING =]

natural colours actually look quiet nice on tanned skin, plus also gold and purple as answered earlier would look wonderful

heaps!! if u've got cocoa brown skin, bright coolors look awesome, like metallic yellow n bright blue. but if u're more golden tan colour, go for olive green, bronze, gold.

either a peachy color to bring out the pale tones in your skin or a mint green to draw lots of attn to your eyes!
