Personally, I never really get really excited about being in love, I'm more level headed about it. Is anyone else like this? Because I feel like I should be screaming off of rooftops or something.

Most people go to the other extreme and end up disappointed when reality kicks in. It is good to be level headed about it but not exclusively. Lots of married people fall into that comfort zone and then wonder where the excitement in the relationship went. The best approach, I think, is to be level-headed but also willing to be spontaneous. Love always involves a bit of risk and if you aren't willing to take some risk, then you will never really find true love.

I'm realistic about love and in relationships. But I find that becaue of that I always seem to attract a man who is younger than myself as they say they are looking for someone level headed. I suspect they are looking for an older sister, or (not to demean myself) wanting someone older because they want someone to mother them, tell them what to do, pick up after them, encourage them.

If someday , you meet someone who motivates you to scream from the rooftops, then it will be that way. {caution: many of those are players}
For now, you are dealing with people that you can be level headed about . . . and that's just life.

As a younger girl I was idealistic....our culture has led us to believe that love just happens and when its gone we can walk away.

I am completely realistic now. I look for certain things in a man. #1-JOB. #2-No darma in his life. #3-reliability. #4-how close is he to his family? #5-Long term friends?

After I look at that, THEN I start to look at things like sense of humor, personality...etc.

That is a sensible approach and most people feel love should be more - what they don't know - as we already do -is its not.
