I have a personal check that I would really like to cash tomorrow. I know that since it is MLK day, banks won't be open.. but I'm wondering if there's anywhere else I can do it? Will check cashing services be closed because the banks aren't open?

And since I've never gone to a check cashing place before, are they okay to use? Do I need anything besides the check and my ID?

Everyone but your bank will charge you a fee for cashing any check. You're better off waiting until Tuesday. (I know I am, even though it's much less convenient.)

Most check cashing places do not cash personal checks anyway.

I know Commece Bank is open, if that helps you.

You need your ID to cash the check and depending on the bank, they may charge you a fee.

If any stores are open they may not cash a personal check.

If there is a 24-hour Wal-mart in your city, call them now and ask if they will have check cashing available tomorrow.

I don't know if you are aware that check cashing places charge a fee. Is this something that can't wait? Do you have a friend or relative that will cash it for you without charge? Good luck.

Wal-Mart offers check cashing in the Customer Service department, but I THINK it is only for payroll checks. Call ahead.
