First rule of e-bay buying is to check the seller's rating and comment history before placing a bid. If he isn't in the 90%s, it's probably not worth risking it.

Second thing is that shipping takes time, especially internationally. Wait a little more, and remain in contact with the seller.

I have never had any real problems with ebay and I have bought many items on there. But some seller's shipping times take longer than others! One time I had to wait nearly 2 months before receiving the item but that is the longest it has ever taken for me. Just be patient but if you get real worried, contact the seller & they will give you the tracking number for your products if you don't already have it.

I agree with the other answers you have recieved about checking the feedback ratings & comments left by other buyers on the sellers that you deal with. I have bought from some people with small but excellant ratings and as I said earlier, I have had no problems. Except for that one time.

I love ebay but the experience is different for everyone. I hope you checked the sellers feedback because not all of them are good. So far my experience has been great. I bought Lauren G Adams jewelry at a 10th of the companys price and i got it within 7 to 10 days. You will get your merchandise as soon as the payment clears with the buyer. Dont worry, wait for another week and if everything else fails contact ebay and report the seller, but seriously, just wait a bit. Sometimes things come from overseas, that is why i always check the origin of the seller. Good luck

I have bought many things off eBay and always received all my items. I have never had a problem with eBay. Check the sellers feedback. You can also pay with paypal. This is secure because you have a record of payment, and if you don't recieve your items, or the item is damaged, you can file a complaint on paypal, for money back.

I too, have had around half a dozen purchases. What I have noticed is that every person is different. I have made my payments on the very same day of the purchase. I found that roughly half of the people waited 3 to 4 days to even respond to my emails.

One general rule I found on ebay is patience. Since most of the time you are dealing with just people versus companies you have to take into account there schedules.

When purchasing from companies with tens of thousands of feedback, my item was shipping the next business day. When purchasing from single people it normally takes at least 4 to 5 days to get it shipped.

i have bought a couple of times and had no problem.. check the ratings of the person you are buying from that should give you some idea. and depending on how you paid it may take a few more days if by check they will have to recieve it then make sure it clears before they ship your items to you. and you should be able to email the person you got it from so just email them and ask how its going good luck

I have used Ebay for 5 years and have bought over 150 items.

I had a problem with only 5 items.

If you have a problem, e-bay will support you and you will eventually get a a refund!

i use ebay a lot.
make sure you check out the seller's ratings and check what kind of feedback other people leave them. you can even see recent items they have sold.
usually if they are selling a lot of the same thing (ex. computer stuff) and have reasonable feedback, you shouldn't have any doubt.
and if you want to be real careful, avoid international sellers, paying with anything other than paypal.
good luck.

I buy and sell all the time. Just make sure you deal with people with a very high feedback rating. I am talking 99.8% or higher. 98% sounds good but means 2 out of 100 have a problem.
