Call verizon, have it shut off as temp lost / stolen so if someone has it they don't ring up your bill. I work for sprint and have seen peoples phone get stolen and their bill went up $1,000 that THEY had to pay because THEY didn't report the phone as stolen. After that talk to verizon and see if you have any insurance on the phone, and pray that you do, otherwise you need to just buy a new phone.

Try calling the cell phone number that was given to you. You should be able to get it back. My daughter lost hers and called the no. to the cell phone. She got it back.

call the cell phone company and tell them that your cell phone was lost and they should disconnect the other one..some plans have phone replacement as part of the deal but you will have to look at your contact and ask them...good luck!
