Why not open a new word document. You can do everything you need there, but it won't be open to the public.

I know what you mean....you need a diary private but dont have a non-pubic or safe place to put it.
This is what you can do... You can make a CLOSED blog here on yahoo. Make sure it is NOT open to users.
