It's a little out there.

How about for a boy: Mario, Allesandro, James, William, Edmond, Christian, Victor, Versace (pronounced Ver SACH ee, of course) or Raphael.

Or for a girl: Vashti, Vivienne, Violet, Simone, Elle, Brielle, Sofia, Athena, Versace, Chanel, Marie, Lauren, Gabrielle or Emmanuel.

I agree with the lady who said it sounded "redneck". I could understand if it was Versailles (Ver sigh) but VER SAY IZ? Come on, you guys. Give the kid a shot at getting a job.

sorry it's really not a very pretty name...especially with your pronounciation which is wayyy too redneckish (for lack of a better term). Also, its super long for a first name, nobody will be able to spell it, and a V is kind of an awkward beginning letter. I can say this because my middle name begins with a P and I don't go around flaunting it becuase its not really my favorite name....when people try to guess it they all guess 'princess or pineapple'....just kinda weird and unfortunate. if you're going to name your child a name that's so far out there you need to think about everything that could go wrong- it's not really fair to them. I really am not trying to be mean I just would really really advise against it. In a way it also kind of reminds me of that joke where a mom names her baby Lemongelo (lemon jell-o) off the menu at the hospital or something!

I was thinking the same as another comment, that it sounds like a male erectile disfunction medicine. I think that one is called Versalis, but too close. Plus, many people, teachers, etc, won't know how to pronounce it. Sorry.

My parents gave me a name that is difficult to pronounce. People call me variations of my name or don't call me by my name at all because they are afraid of mispronouncing it, which they often do.I am 36 years old and I am so sick of answering the question "where is your name from?" I have thought many many times about changing my name but I don't want to hurt my parents' feelings! Whatever you do, do not call your child Versaiis. There are plenty of unusual names that are easier to pronounce than this!

It reminds me of the city in France Versailles (prn. Ver-sigh). Different, definitely unique. I'm not keen on your spelling but I think I would like it spelled like the French city.

It reminds me first off hand of that huge palace in France of Louie IV Versailles. I like the name, it has a nice ring to it.

Well, it's a beautifull name, but the as the baby grows up she/he might get really teased and bullied because of it at school. You know how mean kids are these days?? So, how about you just give him/her a simpler name?

It sounds like a variant of the French city.
