they've been together for a long time, and every time they break up, they get back together. she really cares about him, but she's not in love with him anymore. they're in their 20's, so it's not a highschool puppy love thing. he seems not to show any commitment at all to her, and they've been having problems in the bedroom. how can she leave with respect for him, and leave on good terms? Every time the get in a fight bad enough for one of them to leave, he always comes back and begs for days until it wears her down and she gives in just to get him to leave her alone. she doesn't want to get the cops involved, or be nasty, just civilized. any suggestions?

She just needs to be straight and tell him that it is over. That she wants to move on and live her life without him. She can tell him that she loves him but is not in love with him any longer. That is the only way she is going to get the message to him. If he begs her back she needs to be firm and tell him no. If he still continues bugging her then I would get a restraining order on him.

My mom told me once that the quality of a relationship can be determined by how well two people resolve their differences. Your friend and her "BF" have to figure it out themselves. If they fight that bad, sooner or later they will get tired of being miserable and resenting each other and will make that break. All you can do is stand by your friend and support her while she learns her lessons in this relationship.

she should tell him that she can't take being unsure anymore bout whether they are going t be together. She needs to let him know that she has a need for commitment and that she wants the real thing. Also that if he cared about her like she thought he did, then he would have realized their problems and tried to work things out.

SERIOUSLY... mind your own business, this is her life her existence, she need to be the one asking the questions. Worry about yourself, don't get caught up in her drama, just be supportive when she needs someone to talk to . She has to literally fall on her face, and hit rock bottom with him, before she realizes he is no good for her. And no matter what you say or do, she ain't gonna listen. Let her figure this out. Seriously.
