I would stick with the dell. For you to own a mac you must drive a VW and be a hippie!!

I recently switched over to a MacBook with the Intel processor. It's a good machine, but be prepared for some differences. Some of the differences are good. I didn't know if I'd like the single button touch pad, but I LOVE it. The Apple uses a two fingered tap for scrolling, and as a left button click that is entirely easy and natural to adapt to. The Mac can also run Windows applications at the same time as OS X by using a program, Parallels. It makes the transition easier for those programs you have that run under windows and won't run on the Apple.
Plus the Mac includes some great software right out of the box. Don't believe that stuff on the Mac commercials about not having to download updates. When I first fired my Mac up, it had to download nearly 100 MB of software updates.

The Mac is the best by far, but it is more costly than dell. I have both, the mac is much better, the customer service in the MACs are awsome, no hasstle, no problems. Dell customer service sucks!.
The Mac is more reliable, faster, never haults or breaks, have cool software on it.
Dell comes with minimal software, and you will spend a lot of time removing or the stupid extra advertisment software they put on there.

Your talking about two different things really. One is brands sony viaos are one toshiba etc. they all have one thing in common they use a microsoft operating system, windows XP, vista or windows 7. Apple macs however use their own operating system they always have. So really your question is which is better apple or microsoft and that has been a big and wide debate for as long as they two companies have existed. both have pros and cons and really it comes down to personnal choice. I suggest trying out an apple mac to see if you like it before commiting to a purchase.

Excuse me, but you are comparing apples to oranges.
Mac is a Mac. A Dell is a PC (IBM Compatible).
Macs are better for office work, photo/video editing, etc. They arent good for gaming and have smaller software selection.
If you want to game and want to be able to have a larger software selection, choose any IBM compatible PC.

Dell is a crap company. I am not impressed with their computers. And than your are stuck with XP or the crappy vista. With a mac you can get a much more powerful processor (core 2 duo) and the abilty to dual boot XP and OSX. So you can play and steal and do work on the same machine.
OSX for play, XP to steal, XP to work (OSX does work too)

dell laptop. NEVER buy a Mac unless thats your LAST option. Macs are not very compatible with many things...so your best bet would just get a Dell or a non-mac computer.

Dell is a lot better and more efficient. Mac has lots of bugs and wears down over time.

well mac has many flaws but dell-windows has more.even though they have more,it is easier to use.also, there are more softwares available.but personally,i would choose any one of the comps as long as they have windows, and are fast enough.
