I bought a black Zune, and I love it. It's strange, but I've gotten to like it more than my black ipod. It just works so great. Here are some reasons why:
1.bigger screen
2.scratch-resistant, durable
3.feels nice in the palm of your hand, really
4.has a nice UI design (way better than ipod)
5.has wi-fi feature so you can send songs & pics to other Zunes
6.has built-in FM tuner
7.you can change the background pic for the whole menu system
8.Zune software has a subscription feature so you can download a lot for 1 price
9.can sync with the Xbox 360
10.you can view videos and some pics in landscape mode (on it’s side) so you just turn it on it’s left side (makes it great for watching videos)
11.you can get 14 day free-trial for Zune Marketplace
12.is something new and has latest technology
So just try it. It's new and unique, and it makes you different. Try it a store, and you might like it. good luck.

pros of iPod:
**more people know about it making people think it is better than the others
**iTunes has 3.5 million [or is that billion?] songs on it along with a big tv show/movie area, + audio books etc.
**depends on the type.. but colors and size are also benefits..
pros of zune:
**larger screen
**wifi option;
you can not do much with wifi YET;
but Microsoft is going to expand this area.. where as the iPod doesn't even have that option without you buying a newer iPod
**you can put your own wallpaper/background on your zune
**the brown zune!! who has a brown mp3 player??? no one!
**the zune is more durable.. no finger print marks which you can get on the iPod 30/80gb and the old nanos.. plus more scratch resistent

Zunes are crap. Go with the ipod. They're more trusty. Plus there's all kinds of different levels of spending. You could pimp out with a huge ipod video or keep it small with a shuffle (i want one!) With a Zune, well, it's just a Zune. And it doesn't work with iTunes.

i say go with the ipod, they have been around for quite a while and have proven to be trusty. I have the 30gb video ipod. I love it, besides the zune is very bulky.

I have an ipod and never had any problems with it,I LOVE IT!!!! Before my ipod.....i had 2 other mp3 players that lasted a week COMBINED...(they stopped working and I traded them in for the ipod). Anyways, theres a reason eveyone has an ipod.
