Well, for younger people, a good store is Torrid, the stuff there is pretty nice.

And in general, I think there's a plus-size department in most department stores, and in Talbots.

And, you should try vertical stripes and dark colors. They're slimming.

Lane Bryant has clothes that are cut for a larger, full figured woman without looking like A.) A fat chick in size 28 hip huggers or B.) A circus tent.

However, unless you are blessed in the chest, stay away from lower cut tops or you'll be hanging out for the world to see. Avoid wrap arounds as they make you look bigger, and if your tummy is farther out than your boobs, you'll look pregnant in a peasant top.

If you are simply bigger but well proportioned, you won't have too much of an issue finding clothing that fits comfortably. And no matter how much you diet, you won't loose weight until you feel comfortable in your own skin. Work on your self-esteem along with your diet. Wear cloths made for big people. There's nothing worse than a girl with rolls and a Buddah belly wearing a baby-tee and hip huggers.

You'll be fine. You can still feel pretty and nice if you invest in improving what you have right now and work from there.

I'm a big girl myself, and trust me, it isn't the end of the world. It's been ages since anyone has called me fat to my face. Part of it is because I'm not hanging around teenagers any longer. the other part is accepting that certain popular cloths will not look good on me. I don't want to see my rolls, so I know no one else does. Dress to your good parts and accept your limitations and you will feel a whole lot better about yourself.

OH man! you are funny-I gained a ton of weight after working at 31 Flavors (they had WAY more!)

Lane Bryant has some good looks for carrer and they even have some good casual looks, they carry 7 for all mankind jeans.

Fashion Bug has some cheap clothes for inbetween fatty and skinny....

Old Navy has Women's Plus in the store and online and Gap has plus online-not in the store...kind of discriminating if you ask me!

There's always Torrid-that's Hot Topic's plus size-so its got the punky/pin-up.

Kiyona is a boutique type shop online and in some stores...nice, but pricey.

Then there's always Target, Wal Mart and KMart's plus size...if there's anything to motivate you into getting thin again, then go to those store's plus size clothing and look at your options. Ugh....the clothes suck!

Good luck loosing weight! Just NOT eating all that crap will jump start your weight loss...cut something bad out and see big results, faster.

Lane Bryant. I am not plus size but I see things in the display window that I really like when I pass this store. Also, JC Penny and Goody's will have nice items (hit or miss) I shop with my sis who is a plus size. She always looks good in dresses/suits that have a longer jacket. Seems to make her look leaner and more put together. You can be large and look good if you put effort into your appearance while losing weight. Accessorize and use chunky, trendy jewelry!

Torrid has tottally great cute plus sized clothes. When you get home, cut off the tags, dont ever tell yourself that you are fat! it will make you feel worse! Just start by drinking only water and milk and cut out the chocolate. Then, just run for 25 minutes every day. I reccommend weight watchers, its easy and you only have to count points. Good luck and keep it posative, I know you can do it!

First of all dont let other people make you feel bad, they are only insulting you because they are childish, stupid and basicly deserve to be shot!!!! If you want to lose weight you need to change your attitude. Dont put yourself down, congratulate yourself for making the decision to lose weight. Drink lots of water, eat a mainly vegetarian diet and walk everywhere you go..... I have always been thin but at the same time have always felt fat, and although this may sound like anorexia its not because ive never starved myself I have only made good choices to keep myself slim and healthy.... I dont know if this helps but I hope you can find a better way to view yourself....x

You should really quit the job and never go back! I know there are a line of stores called Torrid for plus size women/teens, I've seen a couple of their ads in magazines and they have one at my near by mall. Look for them on the Internet, eat right, and exercise, I wish you good luck!

There are many women sections of most major department stores but I would first worry about getting a handle on your weight for your health more than anything. 150 pounds is not going to happen over night butt the first thing you should do is completely stop on the sugar and chocolate immediately.
