I downloaded several meshes and recolors from fan sites into my download folder in EA and unzipped them into the same folder. I only actually got one or two meshes to actually appear in the game out of literally dozens that I downloaded. I used winzp and I didn't see that I needed anything else (like rar). What could I being doing wrong? It's frustrating because some of these downloads are really cool.

First you don't download them into the downloads folder, download them in a separate folder then use winzip to extract them into the downloads folder. I works much better and that way you still have the original file if needed in case of a reinstall of Sims 2. Also make sure you have all the meshes need for the contents some recolours don't come with the meshes you have to download them separate and often for other web sites.

simply by fact the guy above me reported, you will desire to double click the blue human beings and a message from the sport would desire to happen asking in case you prefer to place in. setting up actual downloaded sims isn't like the properly-known downloads of clothing etc.. you do not would desire to extract with winzip or winrar or despite, you purely double click.

Make sure that you didn't override custom content that you already had in thezip folder.
