Choose install anyway. A lot of hardware has does this.

Don't worry about that, it should work fine. It just means that it isn't specifically rated for compatibility with XP ... not that it wont work just fine. I have never had a problem when over-riding this warning. Even the hardware manufacturers generally advise to choose install anyway.

Maybe you put the USB cable in the wrong port then Windows can't recognize it?
