How about a months worth of car washes at the local drive thru car wash?At 36 he's probably very set in his ways and all men like their cars to look good. You can get the card for a good price plus they can use it as many times as they want to.But put it inside a box of candy or inside some Valentine Boxers.......

depending on how much you have to spend what about a hot air balloon ride or take hin for a day of paintball, a day course you can both do and finish it up with a nice meal and a card and why you are so thankful for the last year you've been together. i've been with my b/f of 6 years valentines day doesn't interest me personally but i can see the attraction for others.

Well, if he is into music / computer.... they have some Bose computer speakers at Sams Club for like $64. That would be nice.

How about you suprising him with a romantic dinner.... you could go out somewhere I suppose, but how about you do it at your house, lite some candles, make him dinner, and maybe have it picinic style in your living room, with some background music playing, after dinner you can dance, and go from there.

Tickets to an upcoming concert you know he'll enjoy.

Hobby equipment (I got my guy a gift cert. to a local ski resort once).

A spa day for both of you. I did this last year; I had a facial while my hubby had a massage, then we had lunch together at the adjoining restaurant. We loved the day.

give him something personal..something u make...u know what he likes so give him something you make...be creative...for instance take an old photo of the two of you and buy a frame from the dollar store, also get little things you could glue on the frame and the picture such as hearts and stars and stuff...glue the stuff on there and give that to him.

I recommend dressing up for him in a special mail-girl outfit (link below) and cooking him something fun for dinner you both can enjoy, mmm, chocolate fondue anyone?
