I am talking about the movie released in 1959, done my homework and took notes, and I am not talking about the book.

They are not what you would really call love scenes. The two of them spend some time together in a tiny space where there is a what I would call a dormer window. They share their ideas and hopes for the future and look out at the sky. In one scene a bird lands on the window sill and this albeit brief contact with the outside world is poignant. The young people connect and are given time each day to spend in one of the rooms to have a "date". Anne goes through the ritual of making herself " pretty" and Peter dresses up also. It is like they are play acting scenes which they know in their hearts they will never experience in real life.
