I've known for a long time that I do not consider myself to be female, but I also realized that I do not think of myself as male, either.
But the big epiphany was that I am not attracted to people on basis of gender, AT ALL. I am not bisexual, because that implies that I like BOTH sexes, rather than not caring, though I have been attracted to members of both sexes, with gray in between.
So here's the question:
Is there a name for being attracted to people like this?
If not, if we coined one, what would it be? I don't know enough Latin to know how to translate that.

Aha! You're right. I totally meant Greek. Thanks!
However, I think some people missed the part where I'm not attracted to BOTH sexes, I could honestly care less!

Nor am I attracted specifically to people who have attributes of both sexes.

apathisexual..this would mean that you are apathetic or don't care about your own sex or the sex of your partner.

Well, "asexual" would imply that you aren't interested in sex at all. As you have been interested in others at some point, this is not you.

"Omnisexual" would imply that you're romantically or sexually interested with anyone, pretty much all the time. This is not you.

I think "bisexual" is the appropriate term for your orientation. It does not imply that you are interested in ALL persons of both genders - just some. You *have* been interested in SOME persons of each gender, so this is you.

It's a misconception that someone who is heterosexual is interested in all persons of the opposite gender - ie, I am female, but I am most DEFINITELY not attracted to every man I meet. I would say that I am attracted to very few, in fact, and I think this is normal. Same is true of homosexuals; just because a guy is attracted to some guys, it doesn't mean he wants to be intimate with ALL guys.

Well there is always A sexual which means you dont have any form of sexual attraction however you state you have been attracted to both sexes. The word that best describes genderless would be adroginy. Be good to yourself you are special person and are going to bloom into a beautiful flower and there is no telling what you will be. I know from what you have said it will be something beautiful!

careosexual
quacumquesexual

That's the best I can come up with, careo is "with out" but that just sounds boring and kind of depressing.

So I came up with quacumque "where ever, whatever", which still isn't great. But at any rate, there is no real term that I am aware of.

Don't be afraid to be yourself, whether or not you can define the feelings you have. Perhaps you're just ahead of the times ;)

When genderqueer gets thrown into the label-making, it's hard to find one for one's sexuality sometimes. In your case, both pansexual and queer are labels that have been used by people in your situation.

You are attracted to people who are androgynous, maybe. There is a mysterious, very sexy quality about people like that...
I'm not sure what word to call the attraction part though..

Probably omnisexual. Or pansexual

And it's Greek.

it sounds like your gender identity (how you identify, not who you're attracted to) is genderqueer, AND you are pansexual in your interactions...
