Had my Jeep in to replace the crank sensor. While there, they told me my U joint needed to be replaced.I have heard this is a fairly easy fix.I was charged over $300.00 for labor and $41.00 for the part. How badly have I been hosed or is this a fair price?

Holly cow, I just looked up the part on autozone.com and you got hosed by over $270 Part only cost $15.00. Well the crank sensor is $70, but still no need for that steep of a price. I wouldn't think it should take that long to change out those 2 parts at a shop.

Assuming you have 4 wheel drive- if it was front joints at the AXLES labor approx 250 parts 30-60.
front drive SHAFT(off transfer case) OR rear drive SHAFT labor approx 120 parts still 30-60parts.

I would find out what exactly did they replace and if all they did was just one drive shaft in the rear, you got hosed, but sounds like possibly they did both drive shafts or both front axles.
