well no. I am in an associates program at a community college where i will receive an associates degree. after that i will go to a bachelors program at a university to a four year bachelors. You can start at the university right out of high school and skip the associate degree all together, but you wont have a degree if you drop out after two years. I chose to do it this way because it is cheaper to go to a community college and in the end i will still have a bachelors degree. It will just cost me half as much as most people pay.

Didn't someone ask this same question yesterday? Try reading the archives.
A bachelor's degree is usually from a four or five year university or college program. No associate's degree is needed.
An associate's degree is from a junior or community college and can be 1, 2, 3 years in duration but isn't any prerequisite for any university course.

No, you can go for the B.A. or B.S. right from the start.
Most times the Associate just bypass some subjects like English, History, etc. This allows you to go for the meat in two years or less. But, with the Bachelor you take all the courses and then you have the Trivial stuff out of the way. You can then take other Bachelor plans and have the Degree in two years. Also, you good to go for a Master if you want or need.

If you go to a 2 yr college you will get an associates, then you can go to a 4yr university and continue to get a bachelors. Usually if you go to a 4yr school you are going for a bachelors. It all depends in what you want a degree in.

Of course not. An Associate's degree is only given out at two year colleges. Four year colleges don't give them out. Someone who leaves a four year college after two years is not called an Associate. He is called a drop-out.
