I'm Mexican-American and I also like the clothes in those stores. However, when I go in I feel extreemly out of place. I tend to get a lot of stares from people who shop there as well as the employees. As a result, I tend to aviod those stores completely.
It would be nice if some of the models were minorities, then maybe it would be more socially acceptable for minorities to shop there.

I believe for the most part, people discriminate, not so much a company (although don't get me wrong it DOES happen, but I dont think in this case so much). I would think that a company CEO would care more about the green money in your pocket than the color of your skin!
Shop at the store. If you have a bad experience, write a letter to the company's headquarters. Don't look for a bad experience though, because you will find one if that's what your looking for. .. the same goes if you're looking for a good experience, you will find that also. It's mostly your choice.

I'm not of Caucasian decent, but I love to shop at both Abercrombi & Fitch and Hollister Co. I don't think the company discriminates, but some people who wear it, give it a bad connotation. If you like the clothes, then wear them! It doesn't matter what others think.

they've had a lot of lawsuits, but those are more at an employee level if i understand correctly. They were discriminating against their employees, and not really hiring any ethnicities. Go to responsibleshopper.com for any information you might want about popular stores.
i personally don't shop there anymore. unfortunately , when things are happening at a corporate level, theres not a lot we can do. but i work my butt off for every freaking cent I make and i refuse to spend it on companies that either discriminate, pollute the environment excessively, or abuse animals. you have to decide where your values are and go from there.

those skinny little white girls that work there are just too cool to look at anyone unless they look like the ppl in the ads. Im a white woman with an AMEX burning a hole in my pocket ready to shop there and those chicks look at me like, "you are way to big and old to these clothes, they must be for your average looking kids". They just make you feel fat and unstylish. I like Hollister better than A&F, more surf casual, but A&F have some cute things too, but....I cant fit them. HA!
