lots of guys do, especially in the metal community, the boys in Slayer, Priest.... dozens of guys.
the thing about them is that they give you a TON of output and they still sound really clean when you back off on them. i have a set in my les paul which is from 1971 and had really awesome gibson pickups to start with, but i tried them out and fell in love with them. they give you lots of grit if you want, lots of warm, lots of sustain, and when you clean things up, they still just sound natural, and they never hum or make noise that you dont want. you'll still hear every string. i just installed a set for a customer this weekend.
find someone that has some, and try them out. you'll see.

The pickups are designed to give you a high output without a lot of buzz or feedback. They are definately some of the best pickups on the market. Also a lot of EMG pickups are active as well, meaning they use a battery that powers them. I strongly reccomend EMG pickups if you are playing anything with a lot of distortion. Many guitars come stock with these pickups but you can also have them installed.

sure, he's very bluesy. The solos you indexed are between my favorites as well. I also truly like the solo in King not something, that is totally bluesy, and he would not go loopy with the solo. He shall we the solo do the speaking and would not attempt to speed via the solo. also, agreeing with what KP stated, there's a lot unjustifiable hate and spite in direction of Kirk. His sole purpose at the same time as he joined Metallica wasn't ought to search for VENGEANCE ON DAVE. should be extra ideal BAND THAN DAVES BANDS. ought to MAKE DAVE AND HIS followers DESPISE US. that could not what he replaced into aiming for in any respect. Metallica does not artwork with each person yet Kirk. each album after Kill Em All ought to were crap because Dave won't be able to solo nicely worth a sh*t. it could be a band with in essence 2 rhythm gamers.

They use them because they are PAID to use them. Don't put too much stock into what other musicians use, instead you should plow your own road.
