AAC Protected files are designed to be only used with the iPod I believe. However, you can in your iTunes library, convert your songs to MP3 format. All you have to do is download a free MP3 converter off the net and unlock all your iTunes songs.

As said, straight .aac files won't work just being transported to a Pearl; but you have to use a converter software on computer to rip them into MP3s.

Nope, that's the very point of DRM and AAC protection.
