They are delivered by a stork. That's why some babies are born with birthmarks that resemble a bite left by a bird - hence the term "stork bite". Good question!

Now I always thought they came from a stork but was sadly misled, only to realize that they come from a woman. Now I don't remember if I recalled that fact while they were inserting the epidural needle into my back and yelling at me to hold still while I was having a huge contraction, or if it was when the nurses were shoving back my legs to my chest and telling me to push. HA!

i think stork... since we had our third child i have spent every waken hour watching for and hunting storks... i have killed several. Although none were carrying babies the long hours away from my family have proven fruitful because we haven't had any more babies
